frequently asked questions
Who am I booking with?
You are booking your sun-kissed custom tan with Kerrie LePage, a licensed spray tanning artist specializing in airbrush spray tans. Mobile services are performed by appointment only.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please notify Kerrie via text at 978-228-1172 at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees (specified on booking confirmation).
How long will the tan last?
A custom airbrush tan typically lasts 7–10 days, depending on your skincare routine, shower habits, and lifestyle. Hydration is key—well-moisturized skin holds color longer.
Will I turn orange?
Not at all. Your solution is hand-blended based on your answers from your skin assessment, undertones, and desired depth of color. The result is natural, sun-kissed, and tailored just for you. We use Aviva and Norvell products. You’ll look golden bronzed, not Cheeto chic.
Will a spray tan protect my skin from the sun?
No. Your airbrush tan does not contain SPF. Always apply sunscreen when outdoors.
Can I tan while pregnant?
Yes, spray tanning is generally considered safe. For added comfort, many clients wear a mask during application. If pregnant, please consult your doctor for approval.
How should I prepare before my appointment?
For the most even, long-lasting results:
-
Exfoliate 24 hours prior
-
Shave or wax the day before
-
Arrive with bare skin (no lotion, makeup, perfume, or deodorant)
-
Wear loose, dark, comfy clothing after your session
Why no Dove?
It contains ingredients that leave a residue and pull the tan off in patches.
Your glow deserves better.
Can I work out, swim, or shower the same day?
It’s best to avoid sweating, getting wet, or touching water until after your first rinse. Once the tan is set, you can resume normal activities—just be gentle with the skin.
Can I get a spray tan for an event?
Absolutely! For weddings, vacations, or photoshoots, it’s best to schedule your tan 1–2 days before the event so the color settles into its most natural finish.
What should I wear during the tan?
-
Women: You’re welcome to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Your comfort and privacy are always prioritized. You can spray tan with a swimsuit, thong, or your birthday suit — no judgment here.
-
Men: Bottoms are required. No birthday suits allowed.
How long do I need to wait before showering?
Most solutions require 8 hours before rinsing, while rapid tans can be rinsed in 2–4 hours depending on the shade you want. Full color develops over 24 hours.
Will the tan stain my clothes?
The bronzer may transfer slightly before your first shower, but it washes out of most fabrics. Wearing loose, dark clothing helps minimize any temporary transfer.
Can I wear deodorant or lotion before tanning?
Nope! They block absorption and cause uneven color.
How do I maintain my spray tan?
-
Moisturize daily
-
Use sulfate-free, alcohol-free body products
-
Pat dry instead of rubbing
-
Avoid long hot showers
-
Use gradual tanning lotions to extend depth
